Waihi Leader, New Zealand – 2 December 2008
 
A “Sunday walk” on November 2 has raised over $1100 for relief work, donated to the Adventist Development and Relief Agency.
 
About 20 members of Waihi’s Seventh-day Adventist Church, including a blind man and his guide dog, footed it 3.5km along Waihi Beach from the surf club to Two Mile Creek and back, said organiser Vivienne Prince.
 

 
Jimboomba, Australia – 3 December 2008
 
Logan Reserve Seventh-day Adventist Church will hold a special Christmas service entitled ‘A Cosy Family Christmas’. 
 
It would include a nativity play by children from the congregation and will be collecting for International Children’s Care which helps orphans from south Asia.

Former and current Betikama Adventist College students will start off their 60th anniversary programme today at the college.
 
Betikama, run by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, has produced some of the country’s top leaders. Finance minister Synder Rini is one of them.

Christmas is being celebrated with sacred music of the highest standard next week at Bowral Seventh-day Adventist Church with performances by multi-international award winning sopranos, baritones, flautist, violinist, trombonist, organist, pianist and vibraphonist.

The Government will provide $250,000 towards Betikama Adventist College’s water supply project.
 
Betikama is run by the Seventh-day Adventist church and does not receive yearly government subvention. Mr Wale said the donation is part of government’s assistance towards assisting the school.

Hills Shire Times, Australia – 9 December 2008
 
Galston Seventh-day Adventist Church started its 100th birthday celebrations to the sound of one of the hymns that used to be sung there a century ago.
 
Member of the church, past members and visitors all came together on Saturday, November 29 as the church celebrated a century since its opening with a special service to commemorate and reminisce about the church’s history.

Western Province Premier Alex Lokopio opened the Seventh-day Adventist Church Pathfinder camporee in Kukudu, Kolombangara.
 
Mr Lokopio also took the opportunity to praise the pathfinders for their contribution to their various churches and communities.

Canning Community, Australia – 9 December 2008
 
An outdoor theatrical, titled ‘The Road to Bethlehem’ takes visitors on a guided tour through nine scenes with shepherds, wise men, angels, Roman soldiers and baby Jesus.
 
The tour is created by 50 actors and two choirs from the Livingstone Seventh-day Adventist Church.
